The MSc in Telematics – Communication Networks and Networked Services is suitable for those who want to work with present and future challenges in Telematics. You will receive a unique background in the field of communication networks and services, which is highly appreciated by the telecommunication equipment and software industry, network and service providers, consulting companies, research institutes and universities. The MSc program also gives you excellent opportunities to pursue a PhD degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Graduates from the Master program are in high demand.

The Department of Telematics is closely connected to the Centre of Excellence: Centre for Quantifiable Quality of Service in Communication Systems (Q2S). Q2S employs top scientific staff from Europe, US and Asia, including Professors, PhD students and Post.docs, totalling over 30 people. The vision of Q2S is to have an internationally recognized centre of excellence in quantifiable Quality of Service which also can provide Norwegian industry, network and service providers with well educated experts and technology for the benefit of the society at large. Scientific staff from Q2S participate in the teaching of the MSc in Telematics. There are good opportunities to perform the project work and master thesis in collaboration with researchers from Q2S.
